8th grade night football game vs. Apopka at FHS
Wow! You were all amazing! Not only was your performance good at the game, you have already made a significant positive impact on the future of FHS Bands. I am receiving many positive comments from 8th graders and their families on what a great job you did as MP members on welcoming them and including them in all we do. Way to go! Congratulations to Puttida V. and Ruby W. and the rest of the leadership team for putting together a very successful 8th grade night with the MP! Way to go!
South Orange Football
Our second event with S.O. Patriots was successful! Mr. Perez and the concession gang gave a positive report to me as I was driving home from All State Auditions. Thanks to all who worked!
All State Auditions
Congratulations to Gary D., P.J. S., Ashley S., Nicole S., Scott H., Omar N., Frankie D., Kevin G., Alex G. and Rafael C. on trying out for All State! Just completing the process of auditioning is stressful enough and a lot of work and we are very proud of you! Let’s hope the state recognizes your talent as we do. Congratulations again!
Composite pictures
Thank you for another successful run at this. Mr. Gaines complimented you all again on your behavior and how easy it is to photograph our group. Thanks! Remember to check Charms for the date for viewing (Sept 27). All Parents need to come and choose which picture goes in the group composite and you may also order pictures for your family.
Cheesecake Fundraiser
This is still going strong! What's your item count? Have you made your fair share of 12 items? Remember if everyone in your class does the 12 count fairshare, I will throw a party for your entire class!!! Deadline to turn in all money and forms with the checkoff sheet is Tuesday.
Enjoy the City Coupon books
This is our next fundraiser. These books are $10 and students receive $4 profit to their account for each one sold. They have local business coupons and specials with over $200 in savings inside! More details coming when this fundraiser kicks off soon!
Car Wash
Our next car wash is on Saturday. Please email Mr. Perez to sign up!
Fees
As a band family we are behind $11,000!! :( Let's get our fees in so we can get things done! For those that are continually delinquent with this and with no communication of why, you will begin to have your performance opportunities reduced as you are not following through on your commitment. Everyone will receive two notices before this would ever occur. The first notice will go out this week. Thanks in advance!
Fair Share #2
This payment of $200 is due now. Please remit at your earliest convenience. The final competition fee of $50 is due Sept. 15th
October 6th
Don't forget to sign up for your 3 hr volunteer block. Any student time volunteered after that will count towards Bright future scholarship hours or other community service need for students. The first 3 hours of help are tied to a grade.
See you all this week. Don't hesitate to contact me if you need any help or assistance.
Sincerely,
Mr. Davis
