Ray Eddy  - Percussion Caption Head
Mr. Eddy graduated from Duke University in 1992, where he was in the drumline all four years and captain for two, and received his Master's Degree in Education from Duke in 1994. He has been teaching drumlines ever since, including countless high schools all over North Carolina and Virginia, and he is currently the instructor for the Duke University Drumline. His percussion students have performed in countless venues, including Carnegie Hall and the Millennium Festival in Paris, January 1, 2000. He was also founder and head instructor for an Independent Open percussion unit called Shockwave, which was independent percussion champion at the CIPA circuit championships (in North Carolina), and placed in the top 10 at WGI Nationals.

Ray teaches drumlines, full band marching technique, and leadership at band camps all over the country every summer, he is a very active percussion adjudicator every fall, and he has written percussion music for dozens of marching bands over the past 10 years.

Michael James
-  Color Guard Designer / Choreographer / Instructor
Michael James has been a designer / choreographer for colorguard since 1990.  He's currently on staff with the Santa Clara Vanguard, and has choreographed for Cypress Creek HS ('97 – '03), Miamisburg HS ('03), Pope HS ('00 – '02), Cavaliers ('97 & '02), and Americas HS in El Paso, Texas.

He has a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Dance Performance from the University of South Florida in Tampa. He has also danced professionally with Repertory Dance Theatre of Salt Lake City, Utah, Men Dancers of Jacob's Pillow - NYC, and at Pleasure Island in Downtown Disney. As a choreographer, his works have been seen in the 1999 Orlando fringe Festival, DCI On Stage featuring The Cavaliers, The Pleasure Island Explosion Dancers, and for the Starlet Knights Dance line of the University of Central Florida, and the University of South Florida Colorguard.


Mike Rogers - Percussion Staff
Mike graduated from Virginia Tech in Mathematics in 2004. While at Tech, he was a member of the marching band on snare drum for 6 years, serving as section leader for 3 of those. He was also a member of the Independent World Class Carolina Thunder Indoor Percussion Ensemble, also on snare drum, for one year placing fourth at the WGI finals in 2000. Mike has served as percussion instructor/arranger for several percussion programs around the southwest Virginia area, both indoor and outdoor.
